Visit of the Japanese Ambassador at TUKE
On 4 June 2021, TUKE was honoured by the visit of the new Ambassador of Japan to the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Mr. Makoto Nakagawa, who is in office since 20 August 2020, and it was his first personal visit to a university in Slovakia. The reception was also attended by the President's Executive Advisor at Košice Self-Governing Region, Bc. Juraj Seman.
special visit to the TUKE premises was welcomed by the Rector, prof. Stanislav Kmeť, who presented to the Ambassador the mission, activities and results of TUKE in the field of science, education and innovation. The program of the visit continued under the lead of the Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations and Mobility prof. Radovan Hudák, who accompanied the Ambassador through selected workplaces and laboratories of the university: OpenLab FEI – presented by the Vice-Rector prof. Jaroslav Porubän; Laboratories of Biomedical Engineering, and Prototyping and Innovation Centre (PaIC) at SjF – presented by the Dean, prof. Jozef Živčák and his team.
The conclusion of the visit consisted of the so-called round table in the premises of the University Science Park TECHNICOM, which was led by its director, doc. Jakab, together with TUKE employees who develop cooperation with Japanese universities and partners from industrial practice under the lead of prof. Peter Sinčák. The Ambassador highly appreciated the results of the joint partnerships achieved so far and declared his willingness to establish and support new ones.
