The Swedish Ambassador visited TUKE
On November 23, 2017, her Excellency Helen Eduards, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Slovak Republic, honoured TUKE by her visit.
The delegation was attended by: Magnus Collet, the First Secretary of the Embassy, Vladimír Kestler, the Sweden´s honorary Consul General in Slovakia, Eliška Vozárová, Consulate and Administrative worker of the Swedish Embassy and Per Nilsson, a representative of the SAAB company.
The special guest was welcomed at the university grounds by prof. Anton Čižmár the Vice-Rector. The meeting was held in the spirit of presenting the potencial of TUKE and activity of the newly established University Science Park TECHNICOM. Doc. František Jakab, the park director presented the current cooperation with the Swedish company SAAB and incubator LEAD. The results of the two start-up companies (Ceelabs, Vizualizačky), which were established in the USP TECHNICOM Incubator, were also presented at the meeting.
The Ambassador and other members of the delegation greatly appreciated the results of TUKE in the field of technology transfer, and they were very impressed by the high number of foreign students at our university.
In the end, the guests offered to mediate contacts for implementation of the abovementioned results at home and abroad.
