TUKE – a possible partner of the EIT Climate-KIC
On November 21, 2017, our university was visited by the representatives of the EIT Climate-KIC: Mary Ritter, Climate-KIC CEO and Bianca Dragomir – Enterpreneurship Manager Climate-KIC Spain.
At the beginning of the visit, prof. Stanislav Kmeť, the Rector of TUKE, welcomed the special guests, with participation of prof. Vladimír Modrák, the Vice-Rector, and representatives of the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies and Faculty of Civil Engineering, who are actively engaged in this issue. The purpose of the visit was mutual presentation of the existing potencial of our expert institutes and to get acquainted with the content and scope of the project´s activities to enter Central and Eastern Europe. Our university could become a key partner from Slovakia as well.
Representatives of the EIT Climate-KIC then listened with interest how the successful startup ceelabs advances, presented by Ing. Feciľák, its CEO, and learned about the activities of the Centre for Research of the Efficiency of Integration of Combined Renewable Energy Sources Systems, whose role is the research of effective use of multivalent renewable energy systems, presented to them through practical demonstrations by Ing. Stone and Ing. Vranay.
