On August 31, 2022, twenty-two new university professors took over the decrees of appointment in the fields of habilitation and inauguration proceedings (HkaIK) from the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová. Among the newly appointed professors were also members of the Academic Community of the Technical University of Košice:

• Prof. Ing. Martin Sisol, PhD., from the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies of TUKE, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Procurement and Processing of Earth Resources”,
• Prof. Ing. Marek Kočiško, PhD., from the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of TUKE, based in Prešov, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Manufacturing Technologies”,
• Prof. Ing. Alena Sičáková, PhD., from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of TUKE, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Construction”,
• Prof. Ing. Peter Mésároš, PhD., from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of TUKE, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Construction”,
• Prof. Ing. Ladislav Főző, PhD., ING.PAED.IGIP, from the Faculty of Aeronautics of TUKE, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Transport”,
• Prof. Ing. Zuzana Murčinková, PhD., from the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of TUKE, based in Prešov, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Applied Mechanics” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of TUKE,
• Prof. Ing. Lucia Bednárová, PhD., from the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies of TUKE, appointed in the field of HKaIK “Trade and Marketing” at the University of Economics in Bratislava.

“At this moment, you hold a lot of responsibility in your hands. You are becoming authorities with a significant impact on the formation of the higher education environment and on the educational level of our society,” said the President in her speech at this solemn event.
