Seeds for the Future Training Programme – Huawei 2022
Events
For several years now, Huawei has provided the opportunity for university students from around the world to participate in the Seeds for the Future training programme. Since 2020 it has been only online
The programme aims to develop skills in IT and telecommunications and to bridge communication between countries and cultures. During the 8-day intensive online programme, students participated in courses, workshops and discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, cyber protection and international management.
From the Technical University of Košice, two undergraduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics - Dávid Omasta, a Master degree student, and Jakub Paranič, a Bachelor degree student, participated in the programme.
Every day, the students spent several hours in workshops and seminars on how new technologies work, where they are heading and what their perspectives are. They were trained in the field of project management and business model planning, which they later used when creating their own project. During the programme, the students were given the task to create a technological concept that would solve everyday problems efficiently, quickly and sustainably. They applied the knowledge they had acquired in live webinars, discussions and lessons in fields such as 5G, Cloud computing, AI and digital power.
Dávid Omasta: "Every day we had a different programme with coordinators who virtually brought us closer to everyday life in China and guided us to properly achieve our goals in the project. I would recommend the project, I have a good feeling about it; what I liked most was the teamwork with the other students."
