TUKE welcomed the Ambassador of the French Republic to its premises

On April 25, 2022, the management of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) welcomed the Ambassador of the French Republic, HE Pascal Le Deunff. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Yan Pautrat, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, and Mr. David Mortreux, Honorary Consul of the French Republic in Košice.
The visit was received by the Rector of TUKE Dr. h. c. prof. h. c. prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, DrSc. and by the Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations and Mobility prof. Ing. Radovan Hudák, PhD.
The Rector of TUKE and the Vice-Rector presented TUKE activities aimed at promoting international cooperation in the field of education, research, and development, as well as activities aimed at supporting the internationalization of students and employees of TUKE, furthermore successful ongoing TUKE projects in the field of research, development, technology transfer and innovation, e.g. projects related to the development of hydrogen-based technologies, innovation in the field of biomedical engineering, projects related to the coordination of development and implementation of innovations and new technologies in practice (Cassovia New Industry Cluster project) and many others.
The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in stepping up existing cooperation and developing new partnerships with educational and research institutions in France.
During his visit to TUKE, the ambassador also visited the TUKE campus, as well as the University Science Park Technicom, where his director Associate Professor Ing. František Jakab, Ph.D. presented interesting projects in progress at this department aimed at start-ups support and innovative projects.
