Results of the competition for the Best Doctoral Thesis at TUKE 2023
University Highlights
The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Centre of Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic announced, “Science and Technology Week in Slovakia 2023”. The Technical University of Košice hosted the competition for the Best Doctoral Thesis where full‑time doctoral students from TUKE faculties presented their theses to the TUKE Commission for Science and Research. The presentations were evaluated in terms of (scientific) content, as well as in terms of the quality of the presentation (poster). Sixteen theses from nine TUKE faculties participated in the competition. The Commission selected the following four best of the sixteen theses presented:
Scientifically, the following were evaluated as the best:
Ing. Katarína Pauerová – FMMR
Topic: Complex processing of zinc alloys
Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Jarmila Trpčevská, Csc.
Ing. Gabriel Stolárik – FVT
Topic: Surface treatment with pulsating water jet
Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Sergej Hloch, PhD.
In terms of presentation format (poster) the following were evaluated as the best:
Ing. Ivana Halászová – SvF
Topic: Development of remodular building unit design for sustainable construction concept Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Mária Kozlovská, Csc.
Ing. Mária Fulajtárová – FBERG
Topic: Using eco‑innovation and circular economy in the environment of small and medium‑sized companies
Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Beáta Gavurová, PhD., MBA
